Enjoy sitting at the bar and far for the busy street sounds. Get into the narrow alleyway!
Best I have tried so far. The entrance is a bit hard to find but it's worth the time to seek for this.
Excellent and fresh sashimi, good amount of choices. Spacious for family visit.
Excellent grade of fish. Very friendly chefs. We ordered a tuna nigiri and a assorted platter. Towards the end, i noticed a grill and asked what they grilled. The do unagi, squid, and kama. As soon as they said kama, I ordered it up! Will return before I leave Tokyo. They have two different places to eat. Both are down an alley. One seating is in the alley. The second is upstairs (fancier). I prefer the rustic, alley feel
Quality Morning Sushi Restaurant in Tsukiji!
Pricey but delicious 😋😋😋
Your taste buds will tell you that this is the best sashimi don you've ever tasted. The chutoro and otoro and uni mix is too good to be described in words.
Fish market surprise, clean and tasty.
Super good and fresh sashimi, but price is a but on the high side
Awesome sea urchin rice bowl! Little bit expensive (around 50USD) for a rice bowl, but the experience is priceless! It has several “Toraji-chains†nearby, so you can go to either one and the menu is the same. The “Bekkan†one has 11 tables and good for max 22 people.
Didn't expect much as I compeletly relied on Google review when I decided to visit the place, but as it turned out the sushi was pretty solid. I would probably eat here again rather than to travel all the way to Toyosu to wait two hours for Daiwa or Dai.
I've been here a handful if times and definitely recommend if you are at tsukijii and want quality sushi prepared by very experienced chefs.
Great sushi! Sushi chef seemed a bit impatient though I guess having tons of tourists come in and not understand the rules would probably do that to you after awhile.
Wonderful fresh fish. Excellent experience hidden in alley
Amazing sushi experience. We’re still thinking about it hours later. It’s a very cute street sushi shop tucked into a side street of the market. There are about 12 seats around the sushi counter. The sushi chefs were very friendly and funny. You get to see them making sushi. Menu comes in English also and the exact sushi changes with what’s available and fresh for the season. The sushi was absolutely delicious. Extremely fresh, melt in your mouth. They also have other offerings, including rice bowls. Would definitely recommend coming here if you’re around the market!
Its besides the small street, nice people.
it was the best sushi i have had in japan.. the fish was very fresh and the rice was well balanced . i would highly recommend this restaurant.
Awesome hidden place
I’m speechless at the freshness and quality of the food here!! I know its located in the new location of the famous Tokyo fish market but the sushi chefs here are one of a kind! The level of precision in their cuts and the way they pack the rice is an art form and I’m glad I could witness up close and personal. For sure one of my best food experiences in Tokyo thus far. Also it has a very unassuming entrance, don’t be hesitant to walk in! You will thank me once you get seated.
Fantastic fresh sushi coming straight from the fish market, prepared just in time in front of you. Various types of tuna, sea urchin and other sea products available. Warm and friendly, down to earth atmosphere. Perfect spot for a bite while visiting the Tsukiji market
Delicious sushi was there...but not cheap..
Best and by far the freshest sushi i've ever had in my life! The chef and waiters were all really freindly as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are passing through the fish market! not cheap, but worth it!
If you have the opportunity to sit behind the bar, please do so. It was a fun experience, with personable chefs, preparing high quality, fresh produce. It was certainly delicious, though pricey. But hey, you're paying for quality. Would recommend.
The sushi was fantastic and well worth the trip.
I visit this small sushi counter (and occasionally upstairs) every time I’m in Tokyo. Actually more then 2-3 times each time I’m in Tokyo! I work in the travel industry and recommend it to all my friends, have never had bad feedback after sending someone here! It’s famed for its tasty uni, which isn’t my taste, but all my friends tell me it’s worth the price! I love the ebi sashimi and the different grades of tuna! Have always been served politely, have never seen any of the staff been rude to myself or other patrons, perhaps indifferent, but that’s traditionally how Japanese people are - so possibly that’s why the negative reviews 🤦ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸If you like places that are a little hard to find, this is for you! If you like being waited on hand and foot then maybe skip this spot and go to the more touristic places :P
5 stars for the uni (sea urchin).Went there for uni and it met our expectation. Great quality with reasonable price. Not a fancy place but I guess you are not expecting something cozy or luxury in the fish market area.
Great quality and ambiance. Staffs are helpful and friendly.
High quality of it. Best of the best!!!
Great sashimi at reasonable prices
What an incredible experience! The sushi was the best I have ever had and it was pretty cool to watch the chefs prepare the sushis right in front of you. Definitely would recommend!
Found this gem in an alley, reasonable price and cozy experience.
Great sushi.. you won't miss them..!
Delicious but pricey.
I have had the very good fortune to have experienced Itadori Bekkan at least 10 times now in the last 4 years, and Itadori Bekkan is the reference Sushi experience, again and again, anywhere in the world. Based on the quality and freshness of what is served, the prices are incredibly reasonable. The Sushi chefs are masters and are so happy to serve the most unique, off-menu items they can pull from the displays. Best Sushi experience, the true reference Sushi experience, I've ever had.
Middle grade sushi... don’t expect to find high end tuna here. While the food wasn’t bad the best thing I loved here is the clam clear broth soup and not the sashimi which was very thinly cut.Upstairs is daunting as the waiters run up and down stairs with food. Stairs only large enough for 1 to go through.
Love this quaint market rest! Counter seats fabulous view of chef preparing your order🤓 uni dishes to die for 😋 enjoy the atmosphere here!! Value for money!
Their Kanji name translates to Tsukiji Itadori Bekkan. This sushi bar is very authentic and no frills. They offer many attractively priced sets for sushi and sashimi, with a bar at the first floor and table settings on the second floor. I opted to enjoy my meal sitting by the bar and ordered from the ala carte menu. The chefs were delighted by my choices as they have been serving sushi and kaisendon sets all day, and the ala carte orders had them displaying their artistic & technical skills a lot more. They have two menus available, written in Japanese & English, for set menu and ala carte menu separately. The chefs and their two wait staff are exceptionally friendly to foreigners. They are familiar with Mandarin and English languages so speaking to them is easy-going. I recommend this sushi bar for any traveller who appreciates fresh, authentic sushi without falling into the usual tourist spots.#sushi #tsukijimarket #tokyo #goodeats
I was very impressed with the service. It felt like they really enjoyed having foreign visitors, and so it made the experience all the more enjoyable. Also, there were at least 2 bathrooms, very little wait, and plenty of tables or even counter seats. Since we had a group of 5, we sat at a table and the servers were more than willing to take a group photo for us, after all of our food came. It was a true pleasure to eat here, even though it was quite pricy.
I’m reviewing this place because I still recall the melt in your mouth otoro more than a month later. Exquisite & unforgettable. I had no idea Tuna could be like that. Superlatives do not do it justice without experiencing it. Truly exceptional.
About 15 seats and only sushi bar. Located in the alley which is perfect. I love variety of sushi set here. They cook Perfect sushi rice and exceptional flavor. I still get to taste the freshness of fish and all nigiri cut to Perfect bite size. Just order one good set and one ice cold beer and enjoy the moment.
I was so sick of most restaurant in Tsukiji, even the famous one with so many branches there, until I found this hidden gem. Unlike the others this place doesn’t show any unrealistic pictures. The place is remarkably clean and nice. Staffs are friendly to foreigners. Food is highly exceptional with most reasonable price. Visited this place twice, first time was 2 years ago. Love it even more!
We love this place best sushi so far in Tokyo. Amazing staff. We went for dinner and was full of locals. We asked the chef to serve upon his recommendations and it was fabulous! We are sure coming back.
Great don restaurants and their uni are so fresh. Food are excellent but very tiny little shop.
Extremely fresh Uni and Big toro! Nothing to say, let’s eat!
Exceptionally good and fresh sushi! The place is located in a narrow alley and the seating is limited, so we had to wait for ten or so minutes. The chefs and their help who organized the line were very friendly.Sitting at the bar, it was pleasure to watch the masters at work. We ordered the tuna set and a mixed set that came with a miso soup and a small portion of delicious salmon roe on rice. It was all so so good! Definitely one of my favourite sushi places in the world!
Best sushi I have had in Tokyo, but a litle bit on the expensive side. I would recommend you to come here for a light dinner or lunch.
